Equity & Compliance

The Office of Equity and Compliance is charged with ensuring HutchCC’s compliance with federal, state, and institutional policy guidelines that promote a non-discriminatory and harassment-free environment. Responsibilities include the investigation and adjudication of complaints of sexual discrimination—including sexual harassment and sexual misconduct—as well as incidents of stalking and relationship violence. In addition to making policy recommendations, the Office's Coordinator of Equity and Compliance (aka Title IX Coordinator) works to ensure implementation of educational and/or workplace support services for persons with disabilities and monitors compliance with any affirmative action initiatives HutchCC may undertake. Bystander Intervention & Information

Who will you help, Who will you be by your words and actions ... or through your silence? If you see, hear, or know of behavior that raises concern, makes you or someone you know feel unsafe, or that has created a disturbance or threat to your environment or well-being, please report it. It's On (All of) Us to help ensure a safe community. Behavior Intervention Team (BIT)

HutchCC's Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) provides a structured, positive method for addressing student behaviors that impact the HutchCC community and may involve health and/or safety issues. The BIT strives to eliminate "fragmented care," to manage each case individually, and to initiate appropriate intervention without resorting to punitive measures. Additional information regarding BIT structure, intervention, and protocol is available in the HutchCC Online Catalog.
