The Volunteer Center can be the starting point for people interested in volunteering in our community. It is home to the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the Volunteer Action Corps. Each year, this organization recruits and places volunteers with close to 100 non-profit and governmental entities throughout Reno County. People of all ages can use The Volunteer Center to find individual and group volunteer opportunities.

Call The Volunteer Center at 620-665-4960 or e-mail A staff member will schedule a time to meet with you to discuss your interests and time available for volunteering. You will be asked to complete an application form and review the volunteer opportunities available. With the help of a staff member, you will choose a volunteer assignment you want to pursue.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will be providing free tax prep for households with an income of $54,000 or less at The Salvation Army from January 29th-April 11th, 2019. The site will be open Tuesdays from 8:30a-6:30p, and Wednesdays & Thursdays from 8:30a-2:30p.



The Volunteer Center is selling $25 Stutzmann's gift certficates.This helps support the efforts of the Volunteer Center, which includes its volunteers and the agencies we serve. Stop by and pick up one today!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Hygiene Drive

The Volunteer Center is collecting the following items through the end of January: dish soap, laundry detergent, toiler paper, paper towels, kleenex, deodorant, lotion, bar/bath soap, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, travel size items.

Items will be donated to First Call for Help.
