HCC Honors Student Council
to help with Carey Park Clean-up

On August 23, 2014, members of the HCC Honors Student Council and others joined The Volunteer Center in clearing litter and debris in Hutchinson's Carey Park as part of the 2014 United Way Community Work Day. United Way hosts the Work Day annually to kick-off the beginning of its campaign to raise needed funds for community organizations.  More than 300 volunteers participated in a variety of projects. In addition to bringing attention to the United Way campaign, the work day provided a terrific opportunity for students and community members to work together for the betterment of the community.
